An original 1984 oil painting on canvas titled Athabasca Glacier by well-listed American landscape painter Conrad Schwiering (Wyoming/Colorado; 1916 – 1986). This stunning painting depicts the spectacular glacier of the Columbian Icefield in the Canadian Rockies, bathing in blindingly bright sunlight against a crystal blue sky. Artist signature is signed in paint to the lower left. This work is mounted behind an oatmeal liner with gilt fillet in a weathered wood frame with a creamy taupe finish, equipped to hang. A brass name plate is attached to the lower leg of the frame. An informational label
from the artist’s studio, signed by the artist, is attached to the verso.
