Neoclassical Style Miniature Gold Framed Mirrors
Item Details
A pair of neoclassical miniature gold framed mirrors. The larger mirror is rectangular with a column and arch design in the gold painted frame. The smaller mirror is also rectangular with a deeper gold painted finish on the frame. This frame has narrower columns, two feet, and a rounded top. It is marked on the reverse ‘Decorated by Hand, Made in Italy’. Both mirrors have hangers on the back, the larger one also has an easel style stand.
Condition
- larger mirror needs to be reglued into the frame
- the velvet backing of the smaller one is torn
