A collection of thirty-five books from the Little Leather Library. These miniature volumes of classic literature, published in the early 1920s by the Little Leather Library Corporation of New York, are bound in flexible brownish green imitation leather with pressed cover text and decoration. Titles in this collection include Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Robert Louis Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses, Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince, Speeches of Abraham Lincoln and more. The books are presented spine-out in a wooden card-catalog-style drawer or box with fleur-de-lis ornamentation on the front and sides.
