A hand-knotted Bergama wool accent rug. The rug features a central pattern of hooked diamond medallions in deep blue, cream, and powder blue on a red field. The field is populated by stylized muska patterns and a hooked border in deep blue with spandrels embellished by geometric elements. The border features a ram’s horn branched medallion pattern in taupe, cream, navy blue, and deep red on a deep blue background, with stepped diagonal guard borders. The rug has an overcast edge with a wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
