C. Gantt Mixed Media Folk Art of Owls

Item Details

A piece of mixed media folk art of owls using painted stones and wood, by an artist signing it ‘C. Grantt.’ This work features smooth rounded stones which have each been painted to look like a member of an owl family. The birds have been mounted on a wooden plank over a varnished twig, with a signature and the date ‘’71’ to the lower left and rings to the verso to facilitate hanging.

Condition

- wear to edges and surface of wood; hanging hardware has damage; wear and chipping to twig elements; dusty throughout.
