An original antique ovular crayon portrait, depicting a formal portrait of a young graduate wearing his cap and gown. Crayon portraits were created by adding accents by hand, usually using pastels, watercolors, or charcoal, to accent and bring life to an antique black and white portrait photograph. The piece is unmarked. It is presented in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, metallic bronze tone finish, and a hanging wire.
