A framed reverse painting on glass. This monochromatic painting depicts a colonial village scene featuring a four horse stagecoach in front of a tavern. The sign on the tavern reads ‘The White Horse Cellar, Estab. 1742’. Tightly arranged stone buildings dominate the background. The black image on clear glass features a gold tone backing, which shows through the negative space. It is presented in a brown wood frame with a sawtooth hanging bracket mounted to the verso.

- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; lightly worn frame finish.
