A 1919 edition of Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Imagination, illustrated by Harry Clarke. Printed at the Complete Press in West Norwood, England and published by Brentano’s of New York in 1919, this collection features thirty-three of Poe’s short stories, including horror classics such as ‘The Pit and the Pendulum’ and ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’, accompanied by twenty-four full-page black-and-white illustrations and numerous decorative tail-pieces. The quarto volume is bound in green cloth-covered boards with black stamped cover decoration and gilt spine text.
