A hand-knotted West Persian area rug. This wool rug features pendant medallions on a cream field with a compound border. The primary border offers a stylized calyx leaf and blossom pattern flanked by multiple guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges, a kilim skirt and a cotton warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
