This collection includes first printings of The Speculative Philosophers and The Philosophers of Science from the 1947 Random House series The World’s Great Thinkers. The other titles in this collection are The Princess and the Goblin by George Macdonald (J. B. Lippincott, n.d.), The Children’s Story Garden (J. B. Lippincott, 1920), The Lake of Como: Its History, Art, and Archaeology by T. W. M. Lund (Kegan Paul, Trench, Trübner & Co., 1923) and The Tudor Shakespeare: The Sonnets (Macmillan, 1926).
