Pair of Russian Lacquer Fedoskino Boxes

A pair of Russian hand painted Fedoskino lacquer boxes have hinged lids which open to reveal red interiors. One of the boxes depicts a horse drawn sleigh with three horses and riders through the snow The artist signature and village name appear in the lower right corner. The second box depicts a portrait of a Russian women wearing a colorful veiled red head dress and red earrings and a red dress. Delicate scroll and bead gilt painted detailing on the lid and base. The village name is found along the oval edge of the image and the artist name is along the right edge of the oval.
EBTH certifies this item is from the private collection of personal property formerly owned by Dr. Robert H. Schuller.
Condition
The hinge on the horse and sleigh box has a loose pin.
Dimensions
The measurement above refers to the box with the horse and sleigh motif. The other box is 2.75" wide x 1.75" tall x 4" deep.
