An Indian parchin kari white stone and inlaid stone trinket box. Also known as pietra dura in Europe, the rectangular box with a lid and white stone body is inlaid with colorful stones pieces in a floral and leaf design. Inlaid stones include malachite, carnelian and sodalite. The inside is marked ‘Marble Emporium, Government AC. Mark, U.P.’ with India noted as the country of manufacture.
