Item Details
A collection of decorative ceramics. The group features a pair of porcelain plates with painted dragons in the center in the ‘Rice Pattern’ so called for the borders with rice shaped pierced areas covered with glaze that glow when held to the light. Other Chinese examples include a fish shaped plate, a platter in the ‘Net’ pattern after an English Herculaneum original and two small plates. A delft style mug from Holland accompanies the assortment. Marks reading ‘Made in China’ can be found on some examples and ‘Victoriaware’ a fantasy mark used by Chinese firms making English patterns.
