Hand-Colored Intaglio Prints of Birds
Item Details
A pair of hand-colored intaglio prints on paper. These prints depict a single bird each, both with blueish-gray backs and wings and yellow bellies, and one having additional white areas around the eye, neck, and breast with grey spots. These could possibly be Kirtland’s Warblers. The birds are colored and the background illustrations of tropical and exotic plants are in black and white. There are no signatures, but they are marked with plate numbers to the upper right corner. Both are presented behind glass in silver tone frames that are wired for hanging.

- toning to prints; wear to finish of frames; tears to paper backing.
