A pair of offset lithographs on paper of horse heads. The first print depicts a black horse with a connected star and stripe and snip markings wearing a brown bridle. It is signed in plate to the lower center and appears to read ‘Bacquer’. It is presented behind glass in a wood frame that has a D-ring for hanging. The second print is a monochrome print on toned paper depicting a dark-colored horse with a blaze marking that has a heart-shaped top. This horse wears both a bridle and reins. It is signed and dated in plate to the lower right corner and reads ‘Koekkoek ’39’. It is presented behind glass in a wood frame that has both a sawtooth bracket and string for hanging.
Condition
- some toning to prints; nicks and wear to frames.
