An oil painting on canvas board of a waterfall. This piece depicts an autumn-colored forest through which a stream runs. In the foreground of this painting that cascades over a small drop in the rocks down a hillside. A group of birds takes off from the trees into the sky, and a mountain is just visible through the haze of distance. It is unsigned. The piece is presented in a gold tone frame with carved detailing and a sawtooth bracket for hanging.
Condition
- to fair; paint lifting at the bottom and the left side; yellow area on the left looks to be some attempt to fix a gouged area; frame joins separating on the bottom left and right and top left; canvas board has depressed areas in the board; dust collection to painted surface.
