A set of hand-colored etchings of French landscapes by different artists. These three pieces, depicting views of buildings in tree-scattered French landscapes, include two pieces titled Vue des Environs de Mantes after works attributed to Jean Baptiste Huet (1745-1811) and Jean Baptiste Sarazin (18th century), engraved by L. H. Jenner and Elise Saugrain, and Vue des Environs de Paris from a painting by Louis Gabriel Moreau (1740-1806), and engraving by an artist with the name ‘Ringuet.’ Each print is matted under glazing in white-washed wooden frames with wires for hanging.
Condition
- fair; wear and scratching to frames; foxing to paper; some dust under glass; glass would benefit from cleaning.
