Item Details
An oil on board painting of an autumn landscape. The foreground is dominated by a river, bordered by groupings of trees with fall foliage connected by a bridge in the center. A mountain is visible in the background beneath a cloudy sky. The work is unsigned. It is presented in a gold tone gesso and wood frame, wired on the verso.
Condition
- small areas of paint loss to upper left corner; two areas that appear to have been repaired to upper left and lower right corners; scratch to lower left side; slight darkening to varnish; multiple small chips and cracks to gesso frame; wear and stains to frame finish.
