Giclees of a 19th Century Hungarian Count and Pauline Borghese nee Bonaparte

Two giclees on panels after early 19th century oil paintings. The print of the male figure is after French portraitist Jean Baptiste Isabey (1767-1855) and titled Hungarian Count and depicts a male figure’s head and shoulders with a white collar and red-edged cape. The female figure after an unknown artist is titled Borghese Princess, Napoleon’s sister Pauline Borghese nee Bonaparte and depicts the head and shoulders of a woman with curled hairstyle and low draped red dress and blue scarf. Both prints are presented in gold tone painted wood frames with floral details to corners. A wire is presented to verso of each for hanging.

Condition

-significant toning; chips to frames with abrasions and wear to edges and corners; two nicks to male print at upper center.
