A hand-knotted Isfahan area rug. This wool rug features a rosette medallion on a red field of Shah Abbasi palmettes and lancet leaves with corner spandrels. The primary border offers a meandering vine pattern flanked by guard borders with a repeating floral pattern. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges and a wool warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
