A hand-knotted Persian round area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of red, ivory, cerulean, and midnight blue. It features a herati pattern incorporating a very small star at the center of a red field amid arabesqued vines, palmettes, flowers, and lancet leaves. The field is encircled by six borders, including a herati primary border grounded in midnight blue. The rug finishes with decoratively knotted fine wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
