An acrylic painting on canvas titled Beach Reflecting signed by American artist Don Werner (1929-2010). The painting depicts coalescing hues of the sea and sunset mounted within a wood frame. Signed to the lower right with a wire verso for hanging. The title is handwritten on the back of the frame.
Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
