Elpetal Porthole Replica
Item Details
An elpetal porthole replica in brass and set on a brass pedestal stand attached to a marble base and housed in a custom wood box for storage. Rim of porthole is stamped in what appears to be Russian lettering, the hinged glass door has a lever to the inside for opening, and the unit is all held together with riveting. The storage box has a rope handle to the top and is complicated to open. A label to the inside of the box reads ‘This quarter scale replica of an ELPETAL porthole was made for J. Carter Brown as a 1974 cruise memento’
