A collection of books published during the 1930s. This collection includes the five-volume set A History of the World by Clement Wood and Victor Drury, published in 1937 by the World Syndicate Publishing Co. Also included are five assorted books from the Classic Romances of Literature series, published circa the late 1930s by the Spencer Press: Two Years Before the Mast by Richard Henry Dana, The Luck of Roaring Camp and Other Sketches by Francis Bret Harte, The Life of Joan of Arc by Jules Michelet, The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo and The Man Without a Country by Edward Everett Hale. All ten volumes are bound in full cloth-covered boards with gilt spine text; the five Classic Romances have uniform bindings, as do the five volumes of the History.
