Japanese Decorative Ceramic Peacock Vase

A Japanese decorative ceramic vase. This piece has a rotund shape with a rolled lip and footed base. It features a multicolored peacock, peony, and cherry blossom design to the body with gilt detailing. There are red bands around the shoulders and base with gilt scroll, dot, and floral designs, as well as gilt trim around the rim. The underside is stamped with two characters, as well as a label marked ‘N, Made in Japan’.

- crazing; stains and discoloration to interior and underside.
