A Japanese musical jewelry box. This jewelry box has a black lacquered finish, with hand painted details, and working key closure. The interior offers a series of compartments, some with painted lids and some open. The mirror features an image of a female figure with cherry blossoms. The underside is marked ‘Japan, Musical Treasures of the Orient’.
Condition
Condition is consistent with age and shows signs of wear to the finish, and scratches and scuffs to the mirror. The musical aspect is in working condition.
