A pair of offset lithograph on paper of original paintings of men hunting. This collection includes a print titled Gone Away by British artist Edward Benjamin Herberte (1857 – 1893) and a print titled Full Cry by Samuel Henry Gordon Alken (1810 – 1894), each depicting English men on horseback accompanied by their dogs, hunting in a wooded landscape. Mounted under french matting with the title of the each piece and the name of the artist to the lower middle, the prints are presented under glass in a gold tone and brown wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes, a stamp reading ‘Made in Canada Exclusively for The Bombay Company’, and a white and red decal reading ‘Made in Canada’ are present to the verso of each frame.
Condition
- light wear to frame finishes; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; lightly torn paper backings.
