A mixed media collage by Don Werner (American, 1929-2010). It features a collage of paper, burlap and yarn/cord, signed to the lower right margin as well as titled and signed to the verso. The piece features a thin, wood frame and has a wire to the verso for hanging.

Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
