An offset lithograph on paper of an original painting of men on horseback by Charles Prendergast (Newfoundland, 1863 – 1948). Signed in plate to the lower left corner, this print depicts figures on horseback, bathing in a pond, and interacting with animals in a vast landscape filled with trees, ponds, and a cityscape in the background. Mounted under a triple layer of off-white, gold tone and blue matting, the print is presented under glass in a gold tone wood frame with a floral design and a wire for hanging purposes present to the verso. Prendergast is best known for his paintings with near eastern and influences in style and subject matter.
