A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari area rug. The field displays a repeating gul pattern , each decorated with leaves, geometric shapes and a floral motif in a wide variety of colors with grounds of wine red, sage, mauve , brown and cream. The field is encircled by a wide carnation order in teal, goldenrod, turquoise , cream , brown and ash gray against a mauve ground. The rug has two natural warp fringed end and has a tag attached to the reverse which reads “Hand Woven Carpet & Rug, Hand Made In Iran”.
