Hand-Knotted Kazak Area Rug

A hand-knotted Kazak area rug. This wool rug features three eight pointed star medallions on a bright red field with geometric patterns and rosettes. The primary border offers a hooked starburst pattern flanked by guard borders. The rug is finished with double overcast edges and a wool warp fringe at either end. A tag with a hand written note is attached to the reverse, otherwise unlabeled.
