A Japanese hand painted Kutani ware ceramic urn. This porcelain urn features dragon handles and figural curved feet. The urn is painted in red and gold. It has two medallion designs: one depicts sitting figures, the other shows a bird among flora. The medallions are complemented by intricate geometric and botanical borders. Marked ‘Kutani Made, Hirozakari-sha’ (九谷製, 廣盛舎) to the underside.
