Chinoiserie Carved Wooden Dragon Motif Tobacco Jar on Stand
Item Details
A Chinese inspired carved wooden tobacco jar. The footed vessel features elaborate relief-carved dragon designs throughout, as well as a matching lid with turned handle. It rests on a cast metal base with decorative borders, marked ‘312’ to the top.
Condition
- to Fair; white staining and residue to opening of vessel; crack to lid on one side; item appears to be missing an inset metal cylinder to the interior; residue and tarnish to stand; minor surface wear and scratching to wood.
