18th Century "Robin Hood's Garland" Book with Woodcuts

A complete 18th century copy of Robin Hood’s Garland with a newer leather cover, printed by Cluer Dicey in London, with twenty-seven woodcuts. The pages of this book are made from laid paper and are bound by string inside of a newer red, leather cover with gilt lettering. The title page reads, ‘Robin Hood’s Garland. Being a Compleat History of all the Notable and Merry Exploits perform’d by him and his Men on divers Occasions’. It includes twenty-seven woodcut illustrations, some of which have been hand-colored, and a total of eighty-seven pages. Circa mid to late 18th century.
Condition
- Newer cover. Book is complete. Pages are in varying conditions with rough and torn page edges. Some staining throughout. Several woodcuts have been hand-colored.
