An original 1933 oil painting on stretched burlap by well-listed Hungarian Post-Impressionist painter, Geza Kadar (1878 – 1952), titled Winter in Nagybanya. The image depicts the Baia Mare Church of Reformation rising above the surrounding snow-covered rooftops and terrain that sprawl across the pictorial space during the early morning sunrise. Artist signature is signed to the lower right. This piece is mounted in a carved beveled wood frame, equipped to hang.
Condition
- accretion and craquelure on painting surface. Canvas is slightly loose on stretcher bars.
