Majel Warfield Mid-Century Watercolor and Gouache Painting "Langee Temple Dancer"

A mid-century watercolor and gouache illustration on paper by listed American artist Majel Warfield (born 1905). The piece, titled Langee Temple Dancer, depicts a woman in colorful Southeast Asian ceremonial attire. She is shown dancing in side profile with knees bent and left arm extended. The work is signed in graphite to the lower left, with the artist’s name and work title printed on a label to the frame’s backing paper. The painting is matted in mottled grey and presented under TruGuard conservation glass in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Condition
- scuffing and chipping to frame, with damage to ornamental piece at lower right corner; some toning to paper.
