Louis XV Style Marble Top Bombe Chest

Item Details

A Louis XV style marble top bombe chest. This chest features a beige tone marble, rectangular top with beveled edge and serpentine facade over a marquetry inlay facade with two aligned drawers over two full width stacked drawers above a scalloped apron rising on splayed legs. The drawer fronts feature decorative plates and bail handles, escutcheons, and a brass tone medallion to the top and bottom of the chest front. The stiles feature applied brass tone decorative drapery swag, female bust, and acanthus leaf detail. Also includes a key. There are no visible maker’s marks.
