Clarence Braley Original Hudson River School Pastel Drawing
Item Details
An original early-20th century pastel drawing on paper by well-listed American artist Clarence Braley (Massachusetts, 1854 – 1927). The sepia-toned Hudson River School drawing depicts an expansive river valley surrounded by forested groves and backed by a single craggy mountain peek. Two small sailboats can be seen on the water, and a small home stands on the left margin of the scene. The drawing is signed in graphite to the lower right. It is presented behind antique hand-rolled glass in a wooden frame with a stripe of gold tone finish and a hanging wire.
