An original 1930 oil painting on canvas by listed American painter William E. Fay (1882 – 1967). Fay was known best for Native American genre paintings, making this a unique departure from the rest of his body of work. The painting depicts a formal portrait of the bust of a round man wearing a black suit, a black bowler hat, and circular wire-rimmed glasses. The painting is signed and dated to the lower right.
