Antique German "Luther Bible" Folio with 2 Samuel 11-12

An antique Biblical folio in German from the Luther Bible, thought to be from 15th or 16th-century. To the recto starts with 2 Samuel, Chapter 11 ‘David and Bathsheba’ and continues to the verso with Chapter 12 ‘Nathan Rebukes David.’ Printed text to either side appears on laid paper with the verso having a gouache painted scene of Nathan and David. The folio remains unmounted and unframed.

Condition

- blue ink spot to the top edges; some minor dents and marks to the edges; discoloration and faint foxing present in some areas; left edge shows that the folio was once bound.
