A lithograph on paper after listed artist Ben Shahn (1898 – 1969), titled Hand. This print depicts a stylized rendering of a person’s hand from a side perspective clutching at a traditional ink pen. The composition is rendered with a textural application of weighted linework. To the lower right corner of the composition is an in plate signature. The print is presented under glass beneath a black mat in a rounded, gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- crease in lower left corner of image; frame has surface wear and scuff marks; lower left corner of frame has chipping.
