An original early-20th century oil painting on board by listed American artist Frederick August Neubauer (Ohio, born 1855). The painting depicts a stunning Tonalist landscape. A glowing pale periwinkle and lavender sky fills the background, casting heavy shadows across a stream cutting through a hilly forested landscape. The painting is signed to the lower left.
