A limited edition Japanese-inspired woodblock print of a frog on paper, titled Za Zen, made in 1970 by American-born printmaker Clifton Karhu (1927-2007). This piece, captured in wide swathes of black and gray, depicts a confused-looking frog seated with his legs splayed, the word ‘MED ITA TION’ written, along with a line of Japanese characters, in large letters just above it. The print is numbered 7/100, titled, dated, signed by the artist to the lower margin, and is presented under glass in a black frame with red and gold tone details and a bracket for hanging.

- toning to print; wrinkled to left side; wear and scratches to frame finish.
