An antique first-state drypoint etching on Montval laid paper with Vollard watermark by historically renowned French Impressionist, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841 – 1919), titled Sur la Plage, a Berneval, published by French art dealer Ambroise Vollard (1866 – 1939), Paris. The image depicts two women in the foreground relaxing on the beach, watching others wade into the English Channel. Renoir’s signature is printed in plate to the lower right. Vollard watermark can be seen to the lower corner of sheet, out of frame, when held to the light. This work is mounted behind aged mat with hand-drawn French lines, protected under glass in a beveled wood frame, equipped to hang.

- condition consistent with age. Deep age pigmenting to paper, heavier around edges of matting. Wear to frame.
