Large Aubusson-Style Needlepoint Area Rug
Item Details
A large Aubusson-style area rug. This wool rug features a large medallion with ornate crests and purling vines and floral designs. Arabesque lancet leaves cover the field and pictorial crests adorn each end. The primary border offers a fluted appearance adding depth, in a palette of dusty rose, sage green, peach, olive taupe, power blue, black and cream. The rug has bound seams to the underside. The rug has stray threads on the back from the embroidery process.
