Antique Eastlake Marble Wash Stand

Item Details

An antique wash stand. This Eastlake piece has an tall, arched backsplash with a small shelf on either side, and a flat, rectangular top, all of white marble. The removable top sits on a cherry body, with a long top drawer over short, stacked drawers to the left and a cabinet with blind paneled door to the right, all between incised, columnar stiles and raised on recessed casters. The knapp-jointed drawers each have incised detail along the bottom, and gold tone metal bails on heart ornamented plates; the long drawer and cabinet door have gold tone metal escutcheons. The back and top are unfinished.
