An original antique oil pastel drawing on ovular paperboard, completed by an anonymous artist. The scene depicts a charming landscape illuminated by a pale yellow and pink sunrise or sunset. A small cottage sits on the banks of a reflective pond lined with green trees and shrubs. The piece is unsigned. It is presented behind antique hand-rolled glass in a wooden frame with cast embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire attached to the verso. A handwritten note to the verso reads, ‘This picture belongs to Carol. April 11- 1983 Mom’

Condition

- light accretion and foxing to drawing, consistent with age. A large crack is visible to the right edge of the frame.
