A collection of Wishon Harrell pottery. This nine piece stoneware collection features muted glazes in rustic blue, honey amber and ecru with a leaf design. Included are two large mixing or serving bowls with slightly curving sides and low profiles. Included is a large, handled casserole, a tall pitcher, a spoon vase, a pierced candle holder, a large, handled batter bowl with spout, and a basket vase with a large, looped handle. The pieces are signed to the verso ‘Wishon Harrell, Muncie, Ind.’

Wishon Harrell pottery was founded by Jim Wishon and Jerry Harrell, who each had a role in the creation of their work. They founded their studio and worked in both Muncie, Indiana and San Diego, California in the 1990s. Jim Wishon threw the work on the wheel and Jerry Harrell glazed and decorated the pieces. Harrell died in the 1990’s, ending their artistic collaboration.

- one bowl has a scrap of uneven clay which fired into the base.
