Chippendale Style Mahogany Cedar-Lined Hope Chest by Caswell Runyan

Item Details

A vintage cedar-lined mahogany hope chest from Caswell Runyan. This item features a rectangular top with chamfered edges. Its face features three faux-drawers with pierced batwing mounts to their bail pulls; a fan and foliate-carved section is present to the face. Its apron is serpentine with a fan cartouche to the center. It rises on four carved cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet. The exterior of the chest is mahogany-veneered while the interior is cedar lined. It is marked ‘C-R Cedar Hope Chest.’
