Hand-Knotted Turkish Tribal Accent Rug
Item Details
A Turkish tribal accent rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of cream, purple-grape, saffron, and markedly abrashed midnight blue. It begins with a slightly off-center geometric star medallion grounded in cream and enclosing pink flowers. The medallion rests on a grape-colored stepped lozenge, which in turn rests on a midnight blue field. Each corner of the field features a flowering tree of life. At the top and bottom of the rug are horizontal panels grounded in ivory and featuring eight-pointed stars in different colors. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at either end with wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
